Describe yourself in 100 words. What gets you going, what do you like to do in your spare time, and maybe why you joined HL? I’m Emily, a slightly chaotic, energetic and overly optimistic person. I’m based in London, and for fun, I read, run and occasionally play catch — it’s a great way to de-stress, and who doesn’t like being outdoors? I’m passionate about stories and storytelling. Creative marketing provides a way to help brands evolve and adapt their narratives, meaning creative ideas not only come to life but thrive in the ever-changing digital landscape. I joined Hunterlodge because I was drawn to the supportive, nurturing environment. Progression doesn’t just feel possible – it feels genuinely encouraged. I’m excited to be part of the team.
Have you ever been told you look like someone famous, Who was it? Cameron Diaz (on a very, very good day).
What would the title of your autobiography be? The Illusion of Abundance
If you could spend a day in a fictional world, where would you go and what would you do? To Wallace and Gromit’s house. I’d like to see their latest inventions and also give Wallace a piece of my mind.
If you could be on a reality TV show, which one would you choose and why? Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Powerhouse antagonists. They prove with age; women have so much more to offer.
Can you share a quirky talent or a fun fact about yourself that not many people know? I once worked as the Stoke City mascot when I was 17-18 years old.
You have to sing karaoke, what song do you pick? Shania Twain – Man I feel like a Woman
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be? Wetherspoons Chicken Tikka Masala. It’s cheap and consistent.
If you could meet any historical figure, who would you choose and why? Charles Dickens – I’m a huge fan. Named my dog after him. She’s a girl called Dickens.
What’s your all-time favourite movie, and why does it hold a special place for you? Muppet’s Christmas Carol. An excellent way to engage in a classic story that generations of children will grow up to enjoy, and hopefully understand the moral teaching. A way of storytelling that makes an arguably irreverent Victorian plot an incredibly fun and digestible parable. Plus, the music slaps.
